Technologies for Wastewater treatment

MBBR (Moving Bed Bio-Reactors)

The Cantex MBBR (Moving Bed Bio-Reactors) is an effective method for treating wastewater biologically. It combines the conventional activated sludge process and biofilm media. The MBBR process uses floating High Capacity Micro Organism Bio Chips media in the aeration and anoxic tanks. The microorganisms consume organic matter, while the Micro Organism Bio Chips media provides a larger surface area for the biological microorganisms to attach and grow. This increased surface area reduces the footprint of the tanks required for wastewater treatment. The processes are either aerobic or anaerobic, designed to handle high-volume loads.

Advantages

Compact and High-Capacity Units

Compact units occupy a low footprint and higher treatment capacity.

Superior Solids Removal and Settling

Complete solids removal and efficient settling characteristics

Enhanced Stability and Efficiency

Our bio-septic tanks are supported by active bio-banks and bio-filters

Low Maintenance and Reduced Sludge Production

Low head loss, needs no filter channelling, does not require periodic backwashing, reduced sludge production or problems with sludge bulking.

The industry applications for compact and efficient wastewater treatment technologies are vast and varied. These units are ideal for dairy processing plants handling milk, cheese, and yogurt, as well as beverage factories producing beer, juice, and soda. They are also highly effective in the automotive industry, metal plating and finishing, and municipal sewage plants. Chemical industries, pulp and paper mills, and food and beverage processing facilities benefit significantly from these systems. Additionally, coke and steel plants, aquaculture operations, and Koi ponds can utilize these technologies to maintain water quality. These treatment units are particularly advantageous in scenarios where container units on small footprints are necessary.

ASP (Bio-Reactors)

Cantex's ASP (Activated Sludge Process ) is an efficient wastewater treatment process that eliminates particulate matter like sand, unwanted inorganic and organic wastes and harmful microorganisms from sewage waste. The process is followed by the primary, secondary and tertiary treatment methods. The Cantex ASP process utilizes a multi-chamber reactor unit that uses microorganisms as a method to remove nutrients from the water.

Advantages

High Efficiency and Reliability

Achieves BOD5 removal efficiency over 90% and maximum removal of suspended solids up to 97%, ensuring a highly reliable and odourless process without the need for additional chemicals.

User-Friendly and Low Maintenance

Designed to be user-friendly and simple, requiring less skilled labour for operation and maintenance, with no need for 'top-up' bacteria and no moving parts within the plant.

Cost-Effective and Space-Saving

Our bio-septic tanks are supported by active bio-banks and bio-filters

Robust Performance

Capable of handling peak loads and diluting toxic substances, this system is robust and stable, ensuring consistent performance even under varying conditions.

Advanced Bio-filtration (Water)

MBBR (Moving Bed Bio-Reactors)

In septic tanks with anaerobic digestor's/reactor's we provide advanced bio-filtration to achieve higher degree of purification. It removes nearly all contaminants from the wastewater before it is sent into the environment or reused. Our process is cost-effective, improves water stability, and control odours and taste.

Advantages

Effective Contaminant Removal

Our system effectively removes inorganic, organic, and microbial contaminants, ensuring improved water quality and enhanced taste by reducing musty or earthy odours and tastes.

Innovative System Design

Featuring a simple design with three components: a high surface-area filter media, a basic water distribution system for even wastewater spread, and an under-drain support system to hold the filter media.

Enhanced Flexibility and Stability

Our bio-septic tanks are supported by active bio-banks and bio-filters

Cost-Effective and Efficient

Minimizes solids production, reducing handling costs, and lowers DBP formation by effectively removing organic carbon from wastewater, making it a cost-effective and efficient filtration method.

Odour control systems

The Cantex Odour Control System is an ecological and economic wastewater odour-control system for a healthier environment. Odours emanating from wastewater treatment plants are due to sulphur compounds, ammonia, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The first steps to mitigate these odours include containment and ventilation, followed by either chemical or biological treatment.

Cantex solutions effectively address odour issues in wastewater plants, making them more pleasant for staff to work in and for nearby communities to live in. Foul odours are a common challenge in wastewater treatment, including in industries like food and beverage processing and pharmaceutical production. Exceeding the permissible odour limits may result in authorities taking appropriate action.
Cantex Odour Control System uses negative pressure and a deodorisation treatment (biofiltration) to collect polluted air. The system can achieve very high filtration rates (500m³/m²/h) with treatment loads that can exceed 50g/h/m³ of medial, and oxidises malodorous substances (organic or inorganic) into inorganic and odourless compounds. Cantex is one of the most affordable odour-removal solutions and it is also very easy to use. It requires low maintenance and low reagent input, and is available in a wide range of flows.

VOC Filters (Volatile Organic Compounds) - (Air)

Cantex designs, manufactures, and installs activated carbon filters for the control and reduction of various atmospheric emissions: Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) such as hydrocarbons, organic solvents, aromatic compounds, and other volatile organic pollutants. Treatment of unpleasant odour emissions generated in industrial processes, wastewater treatment plants, landfills, and waste treatment facilities. Toxic gases such as sulphur dioxide (SO2), nitrogen dioxide (NO2), chlorine (Cl2), and other hazardous gaseous pollutants present in industrial emissions.

Cantex offers activated carbon filters designed to handle different volumes of flows for treatment. We can customize the design of each case considering various factors such as type of flow, specific working conditions, pressure, temperature, seismic activity, and local and international building regulations. Our filters come equipped with systems that continuously measure the degree of saturation of the active coal. This measurement system calculates the increase in the mass of active coal, which depends on the degree of saturation of the active coal. We use this process to make the most of the active coal and significantly reduce the operating and management costs. Our software can simulate different inlet flows on the filters with crucial information about the process. This data helps us determine the building characteristics and treatment assurances. High performance, high capacity, and affordable.
